"it's surreal how beautiful it is" ~ mike
this says a lot coming from a guy who lived in Spain, Italy, and Jersey (actually NJ is so pretty with its pine barrens and paul's farm). it is surreal...this city is amazing. we spent the first morning napping; having jet lag and a little headache from all the champagne air france serves. so our first explorations of the city were spent with a perfect low angle evening light with few people on the streets. we made up for our naps the second day...17 hours of walking and exploring...
Canongate Kirk - where Adam Smith and Robert Burns' Clarinda are buried.
Holyrood Palace - Scottish home of the royal family
Things you find on the streets of Old Town
....Ferrari and Clicquot
Mike loves all the chimneys
Sir Walter Scott monument
(Danny Macaskill??)
St. Margaret's Chapel ~ the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh
hmmm.....

Yes, I think it will be.....
We're off today to Glasgow to get our van and bikes...
